The property

The working river, from the porch.

Riverbend looks out on the Mississippi, on the ground that used to be Vicksburg's Riverfront Park. Guests do not have river access.

Eighteen homes, spaced so each one keeps its room and its view of the river. We left the hillside alone. These days the deer, foxes, and geese have it.

From the porch you watch towboats push their barges past and the sun go down over the Louisiana side. After dark, the bridge lights up.

Pets are allowed in select homes only. Ask which homes take a dog when you book.

House notes

  • Check-in is at 3 PM.
  • Check-out is at 10 AM.
  • Linens and towels are already in the home.
  • The house rules for your stay come with the check-in instructions.
  • Every home is suitable for children.
  • Guests do not have river access.
  • Long stays of 28 nights or more are at least $3,000 a month.
